Tijuana, Mexico (July 21, 2025) – The Partner Companies (TPC) advanced manufacturer L&T Precision (L&T), a leading manufacturer of precision sheet metal and machined components, has completed a significant enhancement of its 49,083-square-foot Tijuana facility. The investment adds new finishing capabilities, integrated technology and quality management systems that position the company to capitalize on reshoring trends. The facility has also achieved ISO 9001 certification, making all TPC manufacturing locations ISO 9001 certified.
Expanded Capabilities Drive Efficiency
The expanded finishing capabilities will allow L&T to provide more comprehensive, in-house solutions while improving cost competitiveness, quality control and a streamlined supply chain for customers. The finishing equipment and facility updates include a washer station, a masking room, two liquid paint booths, a powder booth, two ovens, a silkscreen room and an integration room for part assembly.

Technology Integration Enables Real-Time Operations
As a part of this facility enhancement, L&T Tijuana has also integrated industry-leading technology across its manufacturing lines for a nearly paperless operation that has resulted in a 15% efficiency improvement.
This upgraded technology system captures operational data in real time including:
- First Pass Yield (FPY) data collection to track by products and defects, identify trends and implement corrective actions
- Power BI dashboards for real-time monitoring and manufacturing performance optimization
- Enhanced traceability and quality management capabilities
These digital solutions provide the flexibility to address challenges, make design changes in real time and adapt solutions for customers quickly.
ISO 9001 Certification Opens New Market Opportunities
In addition to L&T’s facility enhancements, it has received a ISO 9001 certification at its Tijuana facility. This third-party certification is globally recognized as the standard for quality management and is often required for manufactures that serve industries like aerospace, medical devices, semiconductors and electronics. To achieve this certification, L&T followed a rigorous process to establish a robust Quality Management System (QMS), comprehensive documentation and passing an external audit.
