CHICAGO (August 3, 2026) – The Partner Companies (TPC), a global advanced manufacturer, today announced the appointment of Travis Wood as Group President of its Optical Solutions Group (OSG), bringing together Lattice Materials (Lattice), Optiforms and Precision Eforming, under a unified leadership structure designed to accelerate growth and deliver integrated optical solutions to aerospace, defense and commercial customers. The appointment reflects TPC’s broader strategy of becoming a total solutions provider, backed by the manufacturing excellence and mission-critical expertise that define TPC.
Together, OSG provide capabilities spanning optical crystal growth of germanium and silicon, infrared optics manufacturing, electroformed and CNC-machined components, and precision electroformed mesh technologies used in advanced sensing, imaging and defense applications.
“Customers increasingly need partners who deliver specialized optical technologies at scale while simplifying their supply chains,” said Wood. “By more closely aligning TPC’s optical manufacturing expertise, we’re creating a stronger, more integrated company that enables customers to move faster from concept to production across defense, aerospace and other industries.”
This comes as investments in defense modernization, aerospace systems and domestic optical manufacturing continue to accelerate demand for U.S.-based suppliers capable of delivering critical optical materials and precision components.
During his tenure as Lattice President, Wood helped lead significant expansion at the Bozeman-based manufacturer, including major investments in domestic optical manufacturing capacity and growth in defense, aerospace and other commercial markets. This includes helping to secure an $18.5 million investment from the Department of War and overseeing the build out of a new facility to double Lattice’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and support growing customer demands, which is expected to be operational in late 2027.
“As we continue building TPC’s integrated optics capabilities, Travis will help align these businesses around a common vision for innovation, customer service and growth,” said Scott Bekemeyer, founder and co-chairman of TPC. “Travis has already played a critical role in developing our workforce and building a safety-first and people-centered culture at Lattice, and that same focus will serve our optics business well as it continues to grow.”
Wood brings over 20 years of leadership experience in scaling and growing advanced manufacturing companies across the aerospace, defense and industrial industries, most recently serving as president of Lattice. Wood has helped reinforce Lattice’s commitment to the local Montana community through board memberships and developing next generation talent. He currently serves as a board member of the Montana Photonics and Quantum Alliance (MPQA), the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC) and the advisory board at Montana State University’s Gallatin College, where he’s also involved with its Photonic and Laser Technology Program.
