Expansion strengthens high-precision, high-volume molding capabilities for U.K. and European life sciences sector
CARDIFF, WALES (September 24, 2026) – UPG, a specialty manufacturer and part of The Partner Companies (TPC), today announced the expansion of ISO Class 7 cleanroom operations at its Wales facility near Cardiff to support growing demand in medical device manufacturing and strengthen its region-for-region strategy in Europe.
The investment more than doubles UPG Wales’ ISO Class 7 cleanroom capacity and reflects the company’s continued focus in delivering the responsiveness, engineering expertise and manufacturing capabilities customers require in a highly regulated industry.

In parallel, the Wales facility is introducing further high-end automation for high volume applications increasing efficiency and delivering class leading levels of product quality. Established in 1997, UPG Wales operates a 71,000-square-foot manufacturing facility serving customers across the medical, data center and industrial sectors. As an engineering-led business, the company provides precision injection molding and full manufacturing capabilities including design and development support for highly complex, tight tolerance components such as in vitro diagnostics (IVD), stent graft systems, lab filtration and ablation devices.
